Beautiful and curvaceous Nollywood actress and singer, Anita Joseph renowned for her controversial nature is back in the news. This time around she is not raising the dust about anybody but herself, particularly about her body overly serrated with tattoos.

Photos: ASUU members disrupt lectures at UNIBEN

There was pandemonium at the University of Benin today Monday December 9th as members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) UNIBEN chapter disrupted an ongoing lecture at the Faculty of Law at the university.

Some UNIBEN lecturers resumed last week following the Federal Government’s directive to resume work and as one lecturer gathered his students to begin his class, The Union members stormed the lecture room and stopped it.

The Vice Chancellor of the University was forced to call the police to intervene but the unrelenting ASUUtask force members clashed with them, putting an end to all on-going lectures at the University. The strike continues.

23 years old farmer kills a 15ft snake in Ekiti State [Photos]

A 15-feet (4.572 metres)- snake has been killed by a 23-year-old herdsman, Bayo Ibrahim, close to the Ado-Afao-Ekiti road in Ekiti State.

Spectators called it various names, including “Aminurin”, “Ojola” and “Ako Monomono”, which are all Yoruba names for a massive snake. It was learnt that the snake had been killing domestic animals, including dogs, sheep, goats and chickens.

Man almost stabs friend to death with bottle in Lagos

A young man named Sadiq Afolabi (pictured above) was stabbed with a bottled and nearly killed by his friend named Lawal Alarape during a fight at a bar in Alagbado Lagos on Monday night December 2nd.

Lawal was arrested by the police on Monday night but has since been release while Sadiq is still in the hospital battling for his life, a family member told me. They kinda want the story out so they can get justice for their relative. The case is being handled by the police at Ijaiye Ojokoro police station, Alagbado.

According to Punch, The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has apprehended a trader, Chijioke Nwagu, for allegedly manufacturing and selling counter4feit drugs.

According to NAFDAC, the suspect, who lives on Elemijaye Street, Ajamgbadi area of Lagos State, carries out the illegal manufacture in the toilet of his two-bedroom flat where he mixes chemicals in a 200-litre drum.
The Director-General of the agency, Dr. Paul Orhii, while briefing journalists in Lagos on Tuesday, said the suspect specialised in counterfeiting cough syrup.

‘Doctor’ Ishola Oyenusi is a name etched in the history of Nigeria as one of the most violent armed robbers, acriminal who unleashed boundless terror on many Nigerians. But who was he and what did he do that his name was associated with so much notoriety?

The Nigerian Civil War had just ended in 1970 but by the early 1970s, a stone-hearted armed robber, Ishola Oyenusi (he called himself Dr. Oyenusi even if he never finished the secondary school), was terrorising all of Lagos, Nigeria’s largest commercial centre. Before one tale of his daring exploits died down, another one had sprung up. Oyenusi was no ordinary pilferer, this snitcher was downright wicked and had all the self-confidence in the world to go with it. And you know something? He was quite romantic and chivalrous. There was a story of how he snatched his first car on Herbert Macaulay Road in Yaba, Lagos. Why? His girlfriend was broke. He eventually sold the car for N400 but the sad part was that in the process of stealing the car, the poor owner was shot dead. He actually snatched the first car he saw on the road. Such was the ferocious nature of his audacity.

The woman has been in poor health for some time and doctors reportedly believe the snake is the cause of her deteriorating health.

Maria Tsotetsi, 49, of Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg, South Africa, claims that a bishop put the snack inside her.

Tsotetsi, who looks pregnant, was in the hospital a while back, when doctors told her that she had a growth in her stomach.

Nelson Mandela, revered statesman and anti-apartheid leader, dies at 95

Former South African President Nelson Mandela has died at age 95 of complications from a recurring lung infection.

The anti-apartheid leader and Nobel laureate was a beloved figure around the world, a symbol of reconciliation from a country with a brutal history of racism.
Mandela was released from prison in 1990 after nearly 30 years for plotting to overthrow South Africa's apartheid government. In 1994, in a historic election, he became the nation's first black leader. Mandela stepped down in 1999 after a single term and retired from political and public life.

Police uncover another baby factory in Imo! Rescues 16 pregnant teenage girls

The Police Command again has uncovered another baby-making factory in Egbu, near Owerri the State capital, arresting the proprietor, one Dr. James Ezuma who runs a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), and a clinic. 16 girls were rescued in the process. The girls were kept in two rooms in the building that houses his NGO, with nowindows while repulsive odour oozed out from their rooms.

The girls, aged 14-19 were encouraged to get pregnant and take home the sum of N100,000 at delivery, on the condition that they would abandon their babies who would be eventually used for purposes ranging from child trafficking to rituals.

Mother burns daughter with hot iron (Photos)

A woman, identified simply as Mrs. Maxwell, has been arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting her daughter, Blessing, with a hot pressing iron. Blessing, a primary three student of the Lagos Model Nursery and Primry school, Ikeja GRA, was allegedly assaulted last Monday by her mother for licking the baby’s food.

the incident came to light after a neighbour, who lived within the Police College Barracks, Ikeja, with the Maxwells, allegedly called the authorities of the LMNPS to complain about Blessing’s condition. Blessing’s father is said to be a police corporal.

Few minutes before Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker died in a car accident yesterday, he posed next to the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that exploded on impact in the deadly accident. TMZ reports that this pic above was taken just 30 minutes before the accident. 

Paul had put together a car show charity event in Santa Clarita, CA. through his ReachOut Worldwide organization, to support typhoon relief efforts in the Philippines and was leaving the event in the red Porsche car when his friend lost control and slammed into a tree.
